  3. The estate commission is 3% (plus 19% VAT) for the purchaser
  4. The legal expenses (Lawyer, Notary, Registration office) range between 4%-5%
  5. The purchase tax is approx. 9% of the official price
  6. Costs for electricity and especially water are relatively low
  7. There is no annual property tax
  8. A lawyer can represent the client with a power of attorney
  9. The official contracts are always written in the Greek language.
  10. If you are interested in purchasing land, you should examine for any potential development of the land and be sure that there are no problems with archaeological authorities as well as the forestry commission concerning development of the plot.
